Chamber Makes Community Grant Funds Available

The Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce is again making up to $2,500 available to provide financial assistance to non-profit, community-based organizations that provide direct programs, services, or activities that enhance the quality of life for Abbotsford residents in the areas of social services and health, arts, culture, heritage, or the environment. This is the second year for this very popular initiative by the Chamber.

“We recognize that there are many smaller organizations with specific project needs but lacking the facilities to generate their own fundraising”, says Abbotsford Chamber President Josh Bach. “We’re hoping to attract funding requests in range of $500 - $1000 per request”, adds Bach, “and organizations don’t have to be Chamber members to apply”.

The funding program is further defined as project, events or activities that support/sustain, promote, inform/educate, celebrate, preserve and/or provide access to:
  • Arts
  • Culture
  • Environment
  • Heritage
  • Social Services and Health
Applications will be assessed by a panel of Board members from the Chamber based on merit, economic impact, community impact, ability to meet goals and recognition.

To apply you must complete an Application for Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce Community Grant. Complete details and Grant applications are available from the Chamber website at www.abbotsfordchamber.com/pages/Grant or the Chamber office.

Deadline for submission of a Grant application is November 6, 2015.
