The Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Championships

The Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Competition is coming to Abbotsford BC in August 2019. It is the 30th anniversary of this prestigious event and the first time in its history that it will be held in BC. We are excited to have over 35 contestants (by invitation only) flying in from all across Canada to compete. Fiddlers from as far away as PEI to the Yukon will be joining us. Further, fiddle fans will be traveling far-and-wide to attend the event and hear Canada's best up-and-coming fiddlers as they compete for the $3500 grand prize and the coveted title of, Canada's Grand Master Fiddler! Friday August 23 - Saturday August 24, 2019 Friday: 6:30pm - BC's FIDDLE LEGENDS TRIBUTE CONCERT & OLD TIME DANCE featuring Daniel Lapp, Mike Sanyshyn, Calvin Vollrath, Mark Sullivan, and many more! Saturday: Contest Preliminaries 12pm / Contest Finals 7pm - featuring CGM Lifetime Award Presentation to Daniel Lapp, a Metis Dance Showcase, Junior Fiddle Showcase, and many other exciting performances!
