The Center for Epilepsy and Seizure Education in B.C. will be hosting its annual Purple Day Walk for Epilepsy Awareness at Mill Lake in Abbotsford on Saturday, March 21, 2020. Purple Day started in 2008 with nine-year-old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia, who wanted to increase support for those struggling with epilepsy. Through the help of various organizations worldwide, the idea has spread, making Purple Day a global event. Purple-themed activities are held in communities around the world to increase discussion about epilepsy, raising awareness of the condition and helping those who suffer know they are not alone.
