Name: GROUNDED Food Symposium
Date: April 29, 2019
Event Description:
Theme – Grass//Roots: Building Valley Food Culture Time – Symposium: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Reception 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM A key strategic priority of The Valley Food + Farm Collective is to connect Fraser Valley farmers, chefs and members of the food and beverage industry to facilitate greater opportunities to bring valley food to our dinner tables. To support this, we’re launching Grounded, the first ever Fraser Valley Food Symposium. The symposium will bring together innovative people from the food community including: producers, processors, chefs, restaurateurs, drink experts, food retailers, food media, destination marketing organizations and business leaders. Grounded will be hosted at the University of the Fraser Valley, on Monday April 29, 2019, with a reception to follow at the Rail District Community Market. The symposium will offer main stage programming with multiple concurrent hands-on workshops and break-out sessions. Our goal is to create an annual event where the industry can connect and create an annual discussion around our food culture.
