Name: BC TRACEABILITY WORKSHOP FOR AGRIFOOD AND SEAFOOD ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR GOVERNMENT FUNDING?
Date: January 17, 2019
Time: 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM PST
Event Description:
Is traceability important in your agribusiness? Whether your supply chain includes animals, plants, or food products, traceability allows you to track an item or group of items from one point in the supply chain to another. It is a key component in food safety, and can significantly reduce the economic, social and environmental impacts of food safety issues such as product recalls, or emergencies like a contagious disease outbreak. Join us for lunch in Abbotsford on Thursday, January 17 or Tuesday, January 29, for the B.C. Traceability Funding Programs Workshop to learn more about programs funded under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative. The goal of the programs is to increase the adoption of traceability systems, practices, technologies and infrastructure across the agrifood and seafood sectors, enabling businesses to meet existing and emerging market regulatory requirements. Come and connect with us over a lunch and learn about eligibility requirements and the types of funding available.
