We will highlight the best projects and hand out prizes to different teams of #TogetherVsVirus - THE CANADIAN ONLINE HACKATHON AGAINST COVID-19. #TogetherVsVirus happened over the weekend of April 17-19, 2020. The aims were to use the collective intelligence of researchers, experts, technology specialists and fellow citizens to develop fresh ideas and solutions for dealing with and combating the coronavirus. During 48 hours, people from all over Canada - all provinces represented - with a variety of backgrounds have collaborated to find solutions for the challenges that we are facing right now or will be facing in the future in the following areas: 1. Protection of at risk groups, 2. Prevention of proliferation, 3. Data against Fake News, 4. Economic impact, 5. Quarantine & mental health, 6. Hospital & Care, 7. Family & Children, 8. Training, 9. Remote & Team Work, 10. After the crisis, 11. Support & Solidarity, 12. Art & Culture, 13. Crime Reduction, etc. For this country-wide Hackathon, 500+ participants have helped make this happen by participating as mentors for projects, as hackers to answer challenges, as well as supporters to help with organizational and financial needs.
