Lives are saved every day by donated blood — in fact, half of all Canadians will either require blood or will know someone who needs it for their cancer treatment, organ transplant, or a timely blood transfusion after an accident. This lifeline is only possible with your generous blood donation. Dr. Esmail and the team at Abbotsford Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Centre will be adopting a Canadian Blood Services clinic on Saturday, December 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., to help ensure that lifesaving blood reaches those who need it. Help us keep the blood supply robust by booking now to donate blood. It’s something you can do this holiday season to ensure someone else stays healthy. All donors who sign up between 11:25 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. will receive a tote bag with swag goodie items. I think we just say DONOR REQUIREMENTS Donors with all blood types are needed. Age: All blood donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 with parental permission). Weight: All donors under the age of 23 must weigh at least 50 kg. Health: Donors must be in good general health. Identification: Be sure to bring valid identification such as a driver’s license, identification card, passport, etc.
