5th Annual Canadian Walk for Veterans

Working in partnership with the The Order of St. George Grand Priory of Canada and the Americas, and True Patriot Love of Canada, the 2022 Canadian Walk For Veterans will raise awareness of the plight of translators, interpreters, cultural advisors and other locally employed people who were essential to Canada’s missions in conflicts throughout the world such as the Balkans, Somalia, Rwanda and Afghanistan. By supporting the Canadian Walk For Veterans, you will be helping our many Canadian Veterans who served in conflicts throughout the world, as well as helping the Afghan interpreters and their families who arrive here to settle among us in their new home. Funds raised will be used to assist in resettlement of Afghan interpreters, locally employed people and their families. They will also be used to provide support for the many Canadian Veterans who served alongside these brave people and are struggling with the deteriorating conditions in Afghanistan. To provide an opportunity for as many Canadians as possible to participate, those who are unable to attend any of the in-person events across the country, will be invited to register and walk virtually shoulder to shoulder with their fellow Canadians where they want and when they want over the weekend of September 24th and 25th, 2022.
