The Business Excellence Awards recognizes outstanding organizations and individuals in Abbotsford that strive for excellence in our community. Business Excellence Award recipients are Leaders in their industry with a commitment to Customer Service, a concern for the Community, and a passion for Innovation.

This year, we will give six awards to exceptional Abbotsford-based businesses and entrepreneurs in the following categories:
Home Based Business Excellence
This award honours a licensed, home operated, business where the proprietor experiences the rewards and challenges of operating a business from their home. The recipient demonstrably shows, by proficient practices, that their business in not a hobby. The recipient conducts their business with professionalism and integrity with a strong focus on customer service. The recipient has achieved consistent success from their home-based business by employing initiatives and sustainable professional practices. The recipient shows their home-based business has a level of care and concern for the community and has elements of social enterprise corresponding to the size of their business.
Entrepreneur of the Year
Awarded to an outstanding entrepreneurial individual. The recipient has demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurial skills in building their own business, or as part of an existing business. The recipient inspires others with their vision, leadership, and achievement. This award celebrates those who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses.
Agricultural & Agri-Business Excellence
This award recognizes excellence in the Agriculture and Agri-Business sector. The recipient is an agricultural-focused business that consistently demonstrates achievement in the area of their business focus. The recipient has the characteristics of a successful business with diversification, innovation, sound business practices, workplace safety, and community involvement as part of their corporate identity. The recipient shows leadership and outstanding achievement within their sector and has a propensity for continuous improvement. The recipient demonstrates a commitment to the environment and the advancement and sustainability of the agriculture industry. The recipient shows a high level of care and concern for the community and has elements of social enterprise in their corporate culture.
Consumer Services Excellence
This award recognizes a company that provides services in the business-to-consumer sector. The recipient demonstrates a consistent adherence to excellent business practices necessary to deliver the highest quality service and support to their customers. The recipient company executes best practices in all areas of their operation to ensure maximization of their capabilities and capacity. The recipient has demonstrably optimized business processes to drive higher levels of operational performance, customer satisfaction, and loyalty. The recipient shows a high level of care and concern for the community and has elements of social enterprise in their corporate culture.
Non-Profit Organization of the Year
This award recognizes excellence in the Non-Profit sector. Open to any organization that is a not for profit organization, society, or charity dedicated to making a difference within the sphere of their stated goals and objectives. The recipient is a stellar example for similar organizations with demonstrated excellence in the pursuit of their mission. The recipient is recognized as a leader, with a solid reputation, in the non-profit community, as well as with the public at large. The recipient has an outstanding record of achievement and meets the highest ethical standards of the non-profit community. The recipient shows a high level of care and concern for the community and has elements of social enterprise in their corporate culture.
Corporate Social Responsibility
This award recognizes an organization that demonstrates awareness and responsibility for the impacts of its business practices; decisions and activities on society, the community and the environment and shared value for all stakeholders.
