2022 March Annual General Meeting

Members please take notice the Annual General Meeting of the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. The meeting will be called to order at 11:35 am.

If you are unable to attend the Annual General Meeting, please contact lavonne@abbotsfordchamber.com for your Proxy Form to assign your vote to another member.

Review the Abbotsford Chamber's Updated Bylaws HERE . These bylaws will be presented to the Membership for approval at the Annual General Meeting.

Alex Mitchell is an Account Director with Hill + Knowlton Strategies, one of the world's leading public relations agencies, providing strategic advice to clients across Canada. She is a seasoned communications and public affairs professional with a decade of combined communications, public affairs, and economic development expertise.
 
Alex also brings a robust understanding of intergovernmental affairs and advocacy with a strategic approach that is informed by her previous roles in the municipal economic development space with a focus on sector development in clean technology, agriculture, and ag-tech. Her work has also placed her across the Asia Pacific Region, across various levels of government and industry.
 
Alex holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a BA in political science from the University of British Columbia. She was a fellow in SFU Beedie School's Social Innovation Lab (RADIUS) and a '10 Weston Loran Scholar. In her spare time, Alex is passionate about food and wine and hosts numerous events and tastings as a WSET certified sommelier (London Wine and Spirits Education Trust). She also serves on the Board of the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre and is proud to call Abbotsford home.
